Hello, my name is Becky, a proud Yorkshire woman and co-artistic director here at Thunk-It!
I graduated from The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in 2020 with a BA in Drama, Applied Theatre and Education. While at university I had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of arts organisations, such as Tender; Education and Arts, Clean Break, The Lowry Theatre in Manchester, Greater Manchester Youth Network, Mousetrap, Houselights and CatWalk4Power.
After returning ‘back up north’ I have been working with the York Theatre Royal
delivering and facilitating projects with young people as well as being chair of the Futureproof event team which took place this summer 2020. I am also a Youth Theatre Practitioner for Frenzy Drama York, and assistant at PQA Beverley and Hull.
I absolutely adore the arts and the potential that they can have. Whilst growing up in a small rural village, I had little to no opportunities to engage in the arts. Therefore, it is super important for me to use my role at Thunk-It to create accessible opportunities and experiences for all. I am so proud of be a part of the Thunk-It Theatre team and cannot wait to work with so many fantastic people and creatives in my home county.
