Hello everyone, my name is Jules and I am so excited to be one of the Artistic Directors of Thunk-It Theatre!
I graduated from Northumbria University, Newcastle, where I studied Drama and Scriptwriting. Whilst at university I had the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including; co-founding Dillenia Dance Theatre, performing at the Star and Shadow Cinema as a part of their ‘Jump Cut Dance and Film Festival’, the Hatton Gallery as a part of The Late Shows and at Relaunch Festival. I also got to work alongside Gateshead Carers Association as a writer and performer, performing a piece at their Annual General Meeting.
Prior to university I studied my BTEC in Drama at York College, and was also a part of a few amateur theatre companies, taking part in multiple productions as a performer in musicals, plays, showcases and as a stage manager. I have performed in venues all over York, including; The National Railway Museum, York Theatre Royal, York Grand Opera House and York University. I have also performed with Six Lips Theatre Company at the Greenwich Theatre (London) and at the Theatre Delicatessen (Sheffield). I have great passion for theatre and for using the arts as a tool to connect communities and improve people's wellbeing and sense of belonging and I am so excited to be a part of Thunk-It!
