You have discovered the 25/5 Project Time Capsule!

Our performances both had a very important time capsule that either started or ended the story. We asked our participants to make their own time capsule of the project, filled with their favourite props, memories, facts and more!

"I think Percy's Hat should be in the time capsule because it shows the importance of non-gender specific casting and being able to lose yourself in your acting and forget about the outside world"

- Youth Theatre Member

"I'd put the old kettle in, we made lots of tea with it!"

- Wolds Wonders Member

"I loved when we filmed (at Burnby Hall Gardens). The flowers there were so pretty, and the fish were funny!"

- Wolds Wonders Member

"I want to put my favourite memory of the project into the time capsule - when we did our Captain's Costume Dance everyone was so happy. It's my best moment because everybody was joyful and could pose and all be happy as all the groups united together"

- Youth Theatre Member

"I love the badge everyone got to remember this by.  I like that all of us have that connection"

- Participant

"I would put this - my favourite line in the show in, because when I said it, it made me feel joyful and I loved saying that line!"

- Youth Theatre Member

"I'd put the suffragette flag in because I loved my 'Super Nelly' part! I just found that moment really memorable, like a key part of my mind right now. The way my feet hit the ground and the light shone in my eyes and when the audience laughed that feeling was just surreal. It was awesome and I loved it so much"

"I want to put in the time capsule my boiler suit costume. It was my favourite costume and so comfy"

- Wolds Wonders Member

"A rolls royce, a fishing rod and a six pence given to any child who could recite the lords prayer. It sounds old fashioned, but it was pretty sweet."
- line from 'Burnby in Bloom'

"My favourite moment in the show was holding up the animal skull and reciting Shakespeare! It always made the audience laugh."

- Youth Theatre Member

"I'd put in Mr Burnby the Cat puppet! The Mr Burnby song was so good and just joyful to watch, and I love that it came from a cat that actually prowls Burnby Hall Gardens today!"

- 25/5 Team Member

"I would put in the waterlily artwork! Seeing it as the set was so beautiful and quite emotional!"

"I think the top hat should be part of the capsule because it symbolises a character that was supportive of their wife and dearly, truly loved them even in times where that wasn't the societal norm. Percy let Katharine flourish under the scrutiny of the Edwardian era."

- Youth Theatre Member

"My favourite part is the script, as I remember reading it for the first time and being so excited seeing all the different lines I had and trying to learn them."

- Youth Theatre Member

"A picture of our shovel should be put in! Dig, shovel, dig, shovel, dig, shovel, wipe the brow!"
