Hello! Welcome to our end of July blog post!
Here at Thunk-It we have been busy planning a wealth of fun drama opportunities, and thanks to our funders we are SO EXCITED to present our largest offering of SUMMER ACTIVITIES yet!
Entering the holidays we have just rounded up our summer Youth Theatre term and the summer term of Taking Space too, and even been to Rowntree Park and a Pocklington summer fair... but the fun doesn't have to end now that term time is over! If anything, we think it is getting even more exciting!
We hope to get creative with as many familiar and new faces as we can and you can find all of the information that you will need for our youth theatre summer projects here in this blog to get involved!
We also have a big shoutout to our summer fundraiser: 'Yorkshire Day Drag Quiz'... a fabulous twist on a classic pub quiz. Open to everyone!

YORKSHIRE DAY DRAG QUIZ!
1ST AUGUST 2023 @ 8pm
Ey up! Do you want to kick off the summer with a showstopping night of thunky trivia?! The INCREDIBLE Luna Hex will be presenting our latest fundraiser: 'Yorkshire Day Drag Quiz'... think, everything Yorkshire with a bit of glitz and glamour thrown into the mix!
WHERE? The White Horse Pub on Bootham, York.
HOW MUCH? £5 per person.

SEND PLAY-IN-A-WEEK
2ND TO 3RD AUGUST 2023
The first of our summer projects is the wonderful 'SEND Play-In-A-Week'! This three-day project will culminate in a performance for family and friends on the final day. We would like to say a HUGE thank you to North Yorkshire Together, the Department for Education and FEAST for supporting us in providing this opportunity!
WHO? 16-18yrs.
WHERE? Carlton Lodge Activity Centre, Thirsk.
HOW MUCH? Free with a FEAST code.

POCKLINGTON PLAY-IN-A-WEEK
7TH TO 11TH AUGUST 2023
The second of our summer projects is coming to Pocklington for another fun-filled 'Play-In-A-Week'! This five-day project will explore Tim Crouch's play 'Are You A Robot?' through a variety of creative means and perform this at the end of the week. This summer holiday activity is a part of the 'Positive Stories for Negative Times' project and we cannot to be involved in this again!
WHO? 11-18yrs.
WHERE? Pocklington Arts Centre.
HOW MUCH? No cost! Yes, you read that right- thanks to our funders at the I AM Fund, this project is FREE!
DO I NEED TO BOOK? Yes! There are spaces still available so please contact us if you're interested.
A PLAY IN THREE DAYS
22ND AUGUST TO 24TH AUGUST 2023
Well, we couldn't just stop at two so here is our third and final summer project this year: 'Play in Three Days' coming to Tang Hall! Join us to create and devise a performance or art show that will be celebrated at a community event on the last day!
WHO? 11-18yrs.
WHERE? Tang Hall Community Centre.
HOW MUCH? No cost! Yes, you read that right- thanks to our funders at Belfrey Small Grants, this project is FREE!
DO I NEED TO BOOK? Yes! There are LIMITED spaces still available so please contact us if you're interested.
