Whether your child loves theatre, nature, or exploring new places, there’s something special planned for every young person this season. From film screenings to interactive theatre workshops and outdoor adventures, these activities bring together local groups and venues to offer memorable experiences for young people and families.

Celebrate Community Heritage with the 25/5 Film Screening!
On 22nd July, Pocklington Arts Centre hosts a red carpet event to celebrate the 25/5 community heritage project. This project is a collaboration between Pocklington Youth Theatre, Wolds Wonders, Burnby Hall Gardens, and Pocklington Arts Centre. The event features a special film screening showcasing the creative work developed through this partnership.

This event is a fantastic way for families to enjoy local talent and celebrate the rich heritage of the area. It also offers a chance to connect with community groups and discover more about ongoing projects.
Thunk-It's Free SEND Summer Activities
For young people aged 6 to 16 who enjoy drama and creativity, Thunk-it Theatre offers a unique opportunity to create short plays over three days. These sessions are designed especially for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
Dates and Themes:
- 17th August, 10am–2pm: Oh I do like to be beside the seaside!
- 18th August, 10am–2pm: Into the woods
Location: Clifton Library York, Room 1
Parents: Encouraged to stay onsite and enjoy a free drink from the café

Theatre In The Forest – Sparks & Stories
On 19th August, our 'Theatre In The Forest' session offers a full-day event called Sparks & Stories at the fabulous BaseCamp. This immersive experience blends theatre with nature, inviting children to engage with storytelling in an outdoor setting.

Weekly Drama at PT Childcare
PT Childcare hosts us for weekly theatre sessions every Monday from 27th July to 24th August.
Each of our visits will be a different theme, and a different way to get into theatre and the arts! We always love visiting PT!

Outdoor Theatre Sessions at Young People Count (YPC)
Our friends at Young People Count (YPC) in Pocklington are hosting us for two outdoor theatre sessions as part of their HAF activities:
