Thunk-It’s Summer of Fun 2025!

Wow - what a summer we’ve had! From pirates to puppets, bedtime stories to beetles, we’ve been busy creating, playing, and performing with YOU. 🎉

Together, we welcomed over 553 audience members and 414 participants this summer - that’s hundreds of smiles, stories, and spectacular moments! 💛

Here’s a peek at what we got up to:

Play-In-A-Days - Funded by Do It For East Yorkshire

Six jam-packed FREE days of drama and crafts for ages 4-18 across Pocklington Arts Centre, YPC Pocklington, and Stamford Bridge Platform 66.

Our Highlights included:

✨ Singing fish (yes, really!)

✨ Shadow puppet adventures that travelled the world 🌍

✨ Writing as if we lived 100 years ago 🕰️

Every session was full of imagination and energy - we LOVED it!

Pirate Play-in-Three-Days @ Rural Arts

Ahoy there! 🏴‍☠️ For three whole days, ages 6–11 set sail into the world of pirates. We created costumes, props, and a performance worthy of the high seas. Who knew cardboard swords and eye patches could be this much fun?

Bedtime Stories Workshops

At PT Childcare and WHISH in Whitby, we explored the stories that matter most to us. From family favourites to brand-new tales, we discovered that bedtime stories aren’t just for bedtime - they’re for sharing, acting out, and celebrating together.

One day, one big burst of fun! Full of drama games, laughter, and play - it was pure joy.

Summer Activity Pack

Kids and families have been busy solving puzzles, creating crafts, and diving into activities. A few hard copies are still available at Pocklington Arts Centre and Burnby Hall Gardens, or you can grab a digital copy from our website.

Dung Beetle Dan on Tour!

Our dung-rolling friend hit the road this summer, stopping off at:
